Intel is going to bring a new addition to its Atom-series in the Q2 2010, Atom D525 that supports both DDR2 as-well-as DDR3 memory.
The 1.8GHz Atom D525, runs a tiny bit faster than its sibling, Atom D510 which runs at 1.66GHz. Only time will tell how much the 140MHz change in clock speed makes a difference but we are happy to report that TDP in both cases has remained unchanged , 13W in both cases.
So, now we have two dual-core nettop CPUs based on pine trail technology, D510 and D525. Intel, we are counting on you to release a dual-core Atom processor for netbooks. Hope you are listening!
Some more Atom news, Intel will soon start shipping the Atom N470, N475 and N455 to the OEMs and manufactures.
