ExoPC Windows 7 Tablet Release Date Unveiled
The ExoPC is a Windows tablet with a unique touchscreen and Windows 7 to make the computer easier to use without a keyboard and mouse. The tablet’s gotten a lot of buzz over the past few months, but it hasn’t done the one thing that actually matters to most consumers: gone on sale. It looks like that will soon change.
ExoPC has announced plans to start taking pre-order for the tablet on September 3rd, with plans to start shipping pre-order on September 30th. Only a limited quantity will be available at first, so if you want to get in on the action early, it looks like you’re going to want to sign up for an ExoPC forum account, since forum members will get first crack at those pre-order. ExoPC will only be taking 1200 pre-order.
As a reminder, the ExoPC features a 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 pixel display, an Intel Atom N450 processor, a 2GB of DDR2 RAM, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, a USB 2.0, a mini HDMI port, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, an SD/SDHC memory card reader and up to 5-hour of operation time
In October, the tablet should also be available in Canada, where it will be re-branded and sold as the Ciara Vibe.
