Dell Streak US version might get Froyo
After many bad news make consumers unsatisfied such as Dell Streak gets leaked Android 2.1 update in the UK, but still the same Android 1.6 in the US and the unlocked version that selling with $550 on AT&T but you can’t using with any SIM, it’s locked for AT&T network.
Today, Dell’s Lionel Menchaca suggests that the former problem may get solved all at once, because the company is considering skipping Android 2.1 altogether for stateside Streaks and upgrading them directly to the faster, more capable Android 2.2. We don’t have a time-frame for a potential release, of course, as the device just went on sale, but it’s clear that Dell hears your cries for the functionality Froyo brings.

Thank you for this great post, even though it did take quite a long time to understand. (English is not my native language) Can I ask where you got your sources from? Many thanks! Jae
Good review. I love my streak. good size. it's great it's like a computer and phone. processor is faster, touch screen is responsive. great unlocked cell phone. it's easy to navigate around the screen and the games and apps are great. on the business side the wifi and gps help me keep in touch with my clients. also got my cell phone unlocking and phone codes for free!
Dell Streak is good but I think it isn't the best and success tablet from Dell yet. Just wait :)!
