Dell Streak US version might get Froyo

After many bad news make consumers unsatisfied such as Dell Streak gets leaked Android 2.1 update in the UK, but still the same Android 1.6 in the US and the unlocked version that selling with $550 on AT&T but you can’t using with any SIM, it’s locked for AT&T network.

Today, Dell’s Lionel Menchaca suggests that the former problem may get solved all at once, because the company is considering skipping Android 2.1 altogether for stateside Streaks and upgrading them directly to the faster, more capable Android 2.2. We don’t have a time-frame for a potential release, of course, as the device just went on sale, but it’s clear that Dell hears your cries for the functionality Froyo brings.
