Samsung Announces S2 Portable 3.0 External Hard Disk Drive with SuperSpeed USB 3.0 Interface
Samsung Electronics just announces the S2 Portable USB 3.0 HDD which has an on-board SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface and a 7200RPM spindle speed, delivering faster performance over preceding versions.
The SuperSpeed USB 3.0 has a maximum transfer rate of 5Gbps, compared to the 480Mbps of USB 2.0 interface. It also has the low vibration Dynamic Balancing technology, the SilentSeek low noise technology and the NoiseGuard.
Moreover, the Samsung S2 comes preloaded with Samsung Auto Backup, SecretZone and SafetyKey for data encryption and password protection. This 2.5-inch external hard disk drive is currently available in 320GB and 640GB of storage capacities.
